Muktadesh Desk: The government has appointed Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, as Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor with the rank of Advisor. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday (November 13).
The notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid said that the Chief Advisor to the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has appointed Professor Ali Riaz as his Special Assistant.
The notification also stated that Ali Riaz will be entitled to the rank of Advisor, salary and allowances and related facilities while holding the post of Special Assistant.
It is worth noting that Professor Riaz was appointed as the head of the Constitutional Reform Commission of the interim government formed after the July uprising. Then, he was made the Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission last February.
