Muktadesh Desk: The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 23 districts including Dhaka as part of the reshuffle of local administration ahead of the national elections. The appointment of new DCs was announced in two separate notifications on Thursday.
According to the notification, Narayanganj DC Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah has been appointed as Chittagong DC, Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center Director SM Mehedi Hasan has been appointed as Laxmipur DC, Planning Department Deputy Secretary Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi has been appointed as Munshiganj DC, Shipping Ministry Deputy Secretary Md. Saifur Rahman has been appointed as Netrokona DC, Finance Department Deputy Secretary Md. Shahadat Hossain Masud has been appointed as Chapainawabganj DC, Director of the Office of the Chief Advisor Mohammad Saiful Islam has been appointed as Naogaon DC, Shipping Ministry Deputy Secretary Md. Anwar Sadat has been appointed as Khagrachhari DC, Rajshahi District Council Chief Executive Officer Md. Reza Hasan has been appointed as Comilla DC and Public Sector Deputy Secretary Md. Raihan Kabir has been appointed as the DC of Narayanganj.
In addition, Shahed Mostafa, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been appointed as Pabna, and Md. Rezaul Karim has been posted to Dhaka, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division Mohammad Enamul Ahsan to Rangpur, Zonal Settlement Officer of the Land Records and Survey Department Faridpur Mohammad Ashek Hasan to Jessore, Private Secretary to the Advisor of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Syed Enamul Kabir to Meherpur, Secretary (Deputy Secretary) of Dhaka South City Corporation Muhammad Shafiqul Islam to Noakhali, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Mohammad Alam Hossain to Gazipur, Sub-Project Director of the Establishment of Digital Land Management System Project Mohammad Masudur Rahman Molla to Gaibandha, Deputy Land Reform Commissioner of the Land Reform Board Annapurna Debnath to Kurigram, Private Secretary to the Advisor of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Jahangir Alam to Madaripur, Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission Touhiduzzaman Pavel to Moulvibazar, Dhaka Mass. Rapid Transit Assistant Director Md. Khairul Alam Sumon has been made DC of Barisal, Technical and Madrasa Department Deputy Secretary Taslima Akhter has been made DC of Barguna, and Economic Relations Department Deputy Secretary Nazma Ashrafi has been made DC of Rangamati.
