Muktadesh Desk: On the third day of the dialogue on the occasion of the upcoming 13th National Parliament election, the Election Commission (EC) will hold an exchange of views with representatives of 12 other registered political parties including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Monday (November 17).
The dialogue will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin at the conference room of the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital. EC Secretariat Assistant Director (Public Relations) and Alternative Information Officer Md. Ashadul Haque gave this information on Saturday (November 15).
He said that the EC will hold a dialogue with Bangladesh Labor Party, Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Front, Bangladesh National Awami Party, Bikalpadhara Bangladesh, Bangladesh Kalyan Party and Bangladesh Muslim League-BML from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Monday.
Apart from this, the EC will hold discussions with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Amar Bangladesh Party-AB Party, Bangladesh Development Party, Bangladesh Islami Front, Khelafat Majlis and Jatiya Ganatantrik Party-JAGPA from 2 pm to 4 pm.
On the other hand, the EC’s public relations wing has informed that tomorrow (November 16) from 10 am to 12 pm, the EC will hold discussions with Gono Forum, Gano Front, Islamic Front Bangladesh, Islami Oikya Jote, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) and Bangladesh Jatiya Party.
Apart from this, the Commission will hold a dialogue with Bangladesh Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Bangladesh JSD, Bangladesh National Awami Party-Bangladesh NAP, Trinamool BNP, Krishak Sramik Janata League, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and Islami Andolan Bangladesh from 2 pm to 4 pm.
EC officials said that the agenda of the dialogue with political parties will include – what candidates and political parties should do before the announcement of the election schedule, adherence to the code of conduct after the announcement of the schedule, fulfillment of the political party’s pledge with the Election Commission according to the code of conduct, fulfillment of the pledge of returning officers with candidates, appointment and management of election agents after the announcement of the schedule, prevention of misinformation and disinformation, control of misuse of AI in elections, not breaking communal harmony, not discriminating on the basis of gender, caste and religion, and not using religious places for political campaigning.
