He said these things at a discussion meeting of the Muktijoddha Dal at the National Press Club on Saturday afternoon.
He said, the current crisis has created an interim government. The nation should not be deceived by lies. We held a press conference about this, we did not take to the streets. We did not surround the house of the chief advisor or the Election Commission. Some parties want to impose everything by organizing a movement.
He said, a very planned group wants to make us forget 1971. But there is no chance to do that. Because we were born in 1971. The opposing forces of the Liberation War are involved in conspiracies. They called the Liberation War a ‘confusion’. The nation has not forgotten that.
The BNP Secretary General said, if the election was held within three months of the mass uprising, the evil forces would not have dared to raise their heads. All the reforms are clearly mentioned in our 31-point plan. We are in favor of reforms. The next parliament will decide whether there will be a PR or not. People are being fooled by saying that if there is no PR, there will be no election.
He also said, there was no need for a referendum in the country, but we still agreed. Now they want a referendum before the national election. The chief advisor has expressed fear of attacks around the election, but it should have been made clear who could do it.
