Muktadesh Desk: The interim government has imposed a strict ban on foreign travel by government officials until the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections are held. The new directive states that no official will be allowed to travel abroad unless absolutely necessary.
A circular in this regard was recently issued by the Office of the Chief Advisor. It has been ordered to strictly follow the previous directive and a copy has been sent to the advisors’ private secretaries.
The circular mentions that many officials have continued to travel abroad without properly following the previously issued directive. Even multiple officials and secretaries of the same ministry are going on foreign trips at the same time, which is against the previous directive.
The circular clearly states in this regard that no official will be allowed to travel abroad unless absolutely necessary until the next national elections are held.
This step by the interim government is being seen as part of maintaining administrative discipline and ensuring smooth election preparations.
According to experts, this directive will ensure transparency and accountability in the government’s activities.
Meanwhile, Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus has said more than once that he is working hard to organize a free, fair, and transparent election in February 2026, in which power is transferred to the real representatives.
