Muktadesh Desk: Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that law enforcement officers will be on the ground five days before the next parliamentary election.
The Home Affairs Advisor said this while talking to reporters in front of the Patuakhali Circuit House at around 2:30 pm on Saturday (November 15).
In response to a question, the Home Affairs Advisor said that law enforcement officers will be on the ground for 9 days during the election. Law enforcement officers will be on the ground for five days before the election and for three more days after the election.
He also said, “Major activities will continue for the five days before the election. We currently have 30,000 army personnel on the ground. At that time, about 100,000 army personnel, 150,000 police personnel, about 35,000 BGB personnel, 5,000 navy personnel, 4,000 coast guard personnel, 8,000 RAB personnel and about 550,000 Ansar personnel will be on the ground.”
The Home Affairs Advisor said that there is no room for doubt about security during the election. The elections will be held very peacefully.
