Muktadesh Desk: National Security Advisor of the interim government Khalilur Rahman is going to Delhi at the invitation of Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. His visit is to attend the conference of National Security Advisors of the Indian Ocean Region. This conference of the Colombo Security Conclave, consisting of five countries in the Indian Ocean, will be held in Delhi on November 20.
It is learned that Khalilur Rahman is going to Delhi on a two-day visit on November 19.
A responsible source in the government and a source at the Indian High Commission in Dhaka said that his visit has been finalized, although an official announcement has not been made yet.
Bangladeshi diplomatic sources could not confirm whether there will be a meeting between the National Security Advisors of Bangladesh and India on the sidelines of the conference in Delhi. However, an Indian source said that there is a possibility of talks. Especially in the context of the changing and unstable political situation in Bangladesh, important policymakers of the two countries are interested in direct talks. As a result, the possibility of a short meeting during the break of the conference on November 20 cannot be ruled out.
