Muktdesh Desk: The prosecution has sought the maximum sentence for ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Prosecutor Mizanul Islam hopes to get a date for Hasina’s verdict in the crimes against humanity case on November 13 tomorrow. He expressed this hope while talking to reporters at the tribunal on Wednesday.
He said that attempts are being made to obstruct Hasina’s trial at the tribunal. They are spreading various propaganda in various ways. But the trial will proceed at its own pace.
Earlier, the International Crimes Tribunal ordered the submission of an investigation report against Hasina and the accused in the genocide case against humanity at the Hefazat-e-Islam rally at Shapla Chattar within two months. At the same time, the next hearing was fixed for January 12.
In addition, the International Crimes Tribunal has set January 12 as the date for submitting the investigation report against the accused, including former Awami League MP from Chittagong-6 constituency ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, in the case of crimes against humanity for the murder of 11 people, including Chhatra Dal leader Wasim, in Chittagong.
