Muktadesh Desk: Three people, including two female students of Rokeya Hall, were injured in two consecutive cocktail explosions in the TSC area of Dhaka University.
The explosion occurred around 9:15 pm on Wednesday during a documentary screening of July.
Rokeya Hall Sangsad GS Cynthia Mehrin Sakal confirmed the injury of the two students through a Facebook post.
DU Proctor Professor Saifuddin Ahmed said, ‘One student suffered a back injury, another suffered hearing problems due to the loud noise. They were quickly rescued and sent to the university medical center.’
Assistant Director of the Madrasa Education Directorate Jahangir Alam Chakladar was injured by a cocktail while passing through that road at that time.
He said, ‘On my way back from the office, a cocktail hit me in the area adjacent to TSC. I got injured in the back.’
