Muktadesh Desk:: The verdict in the genocide case filed against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the International Crimes Tribunal will be known on November 13. Her party, the banned Awami League, has drawn a blueprint for major sabotage and chaos around that day. Their goal is to create a violent situation and obstruct the trial process. This plan is being coordinated from neighboring India.
According to security-related sources, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who is absconding in India, has been given the responsibility of being the main coordinator of the sabotage plan in Dhaka. Former SB chief, additional IG of the police who is absconding in India, Monirul Islam, and absconding DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman have been given the responsibility of providing him with all strategic support. Several army officers, including former DG of SSF and former QMG Lt. Gen. (retd.) Mujibur Rahman, are involved in this process.
Sources also said that in coordination with them, fugitive former Chhatra League president Liaquat Sikder, former Gazipur mayor Jahangir Alam and Jubo League leader Ismail Chowdhury Samrat alias Casino Samrat are preparing to implement a mission to create instability in Dhaka. For this purpose, leaders and activists selected from remote areas of the country are being brought to Dhaka.
It is learned that an office has been set up in Delhi to carry out anti-Bangladesh activities. News of setting up an office in Kolkata had also come to the media earlier. Reliable sources have received information that the planners are working to implement all the plans there in close contact with the Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’.
The concerned sources said that the planners want to exploit the passion of the leaders and activists for Hasina. A strategy has been adopted to capitalize on this passion and put them on the field on November 13. For this purpose, leaders and activists who are experts in terrorist activities and are staunch Awami League leaders and activists from all over the country have already been selected. They are also being trained in different parts of the country.
According to security sources, these selected cadres were given training in digital sabotage and communication techniques at at least five places in the capital. The army has already arrested Major Sadiqul Haque Sadek and put him on trial in connection with this training. The law enforcement agencies have received some information about the training in a favorable environment in Gopalganj. In view of this, surveillance has been increased on some former and current police officers stationed in the country. Surveillance has also been increased on the fascist accomplices hiding in the law enforcement agencies.
It was learned from talking to members of the law enforcement agencies that the Awami League has made a terrible plan to use illegal weapons in sabotage. Last month, the army’s independent 46th brigade seized a consignment of weapons in the Dhaka Airport Railway Station area. It is feared that four more such consignments of weapons may enter the country. In addition, it is feared that the weapons lost from various police stations, police outposts and police lines of the country on August 5, 2024, may be used. Even the use of weapons that were licensed to Mujibists during the Awami League period, but have not yet been submitted, cannot be ruled out. The interim government issued instructions to submit the licensed weapons. But according to the latest news, not all weapons have been submitted.
Plans to block the highway
Security sources said that the Awami League has a plan to block the highway around November 13. In this case, former mayor Jahangir Alam has been given the responsibility of the highway from Gazipur intersection to Uttara. Liaquat Sikder has been given the responsibility of blocking the highway from Kanchpur to Jatrabari. Samrat is engaged in planning arson and clashes inside Dhaka. The party is moving forward with plans to gather lakhs of people on this day. There are plans to hold a sudden procession and set fire to transport after the evening of November 12 to create panic in the public mind. The group is also planning to target important and sensitive government facilities, including the court premises, and to carry out bombings and cocktail explosions in the surrounding areas.
Sources also said that Gopalganj, Madaripur and Shariatpur are being considered as the epicenter of the chaos. The verdict in Hasina’s genocide case may be announced by this November. If the verdict is announced, there will be a huge showdown and movement in the region, which will create a quick reaction in the international and domestic media. The target has been to disseminate videos and news through foreign media and social media. An attempt will be made to capitalize on these news and videos to attract the attention of the Indian agencies, Europe and America, by establishing them.
Recommendations and preparations of security agencies
Many attempts have been made in the past year to prove the interim government as a failure. Almost all of them have failed, according to those concerned. Now the Awami League is trying to create chaos around the announcement of Hasina’s verdict.
In this situation, security-related agencies have recommended to the government’s high-level officials not to withdraw army personnel from the field for the time being. Recently, the decision to withdraw 50 percent of the army personnel serving at the field level was announced in the meeting of the core committee on law and order. The security agencies are advising that the army should be deployed at the field level at least until this November or until the verdict in Hasina’s case is announced.
According to law enforcement sources, law enforcement agencies, RAB and intelligence units across the country have been ordered to be on alert. The verdict
