Muktadesh Desk: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has decided to reduce the validity of Umrah visas in Saudi Arabia from 3 months to one month. According to the new rules, you must enter Saudi Arabia within one month from the date of visa issuance. This rule will come into effect from November 1.
However, the period of stay after entering the country will remain the same as before, three months. That is, although it is mandatory to enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of visa issuance, you can stay for a maximum of three months after entry. It is worth noting that under the new conditions, if you do not enter within 30 days, the visa will be automatically canceled.
Ahmed Bajayefar, Advisor to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, said that this step has been taken as part of preparations for the arrival of a large number of Umrah pilgrims in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina as the cold weather has started after the end of the summer.
Experts believe that more than four million foreign pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia during the Umrah season that began in June this year. This indicates a significant increase compared to the entire season of the previous year. Analysts say such unprecedented growth is evidence of growing interest in visiting the Holy Land among Muslim communities around the world.
