Muktadesh Desk: A 6-lane railway underpass has been inaugurated in the capital’s Titipara. The underpass was inaugurated on Saturday morning by the Special Assistant to the Principal Advisor on Defense and National Integration Development, Lt. J. Ob. Abdul Hafiz. As a result, the long-standing suffering of the people has come to an end.
Although the underpass has been opened, it will take time to get the full benefits of this underpass as the construction work of the Metrorail station on the Kamalapur-bound road is ongoing.
Mechanical vehicles will ply in 4 lanes of the 6-lane road below. Vehicles up to 5 meters high will be able to move through the underpass without any hindrance. And on both sides, in addition to separate lanes for rickshaws and bicycles, sidewalks have been kept for pedestrians. To prevent pedal-powered vehicles from having to descend too much, the lanes on both sides have been raised higher than the middle 4 lanes. Now the railway above and other vehicles below will move without any hindrance.
