Muktadesh Desk: A defamation case has been filed in the CMM Court of Dhaka against Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari for making derogatory remarks about Jubo Dal’s Dhaka Metropolitan South member secretary Rabiul Islam Nayan.
On Monday (November 3), Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo Dal’s convening committee member Kazi Mukituzzaman filed the case in the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain. The court recorded the plaintiff’s statement and ordered the DB to investigate the complaint and submit a report.
The plaintiff’s lawyer Md. Mehedi Hasan Jewel confirmed this information.
He said, NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwari has been making derogatory comments about senior BNP leaders at different times. We feel that it needs to be curbed now. For this, a defamation case has been filed.
The case alleges that after the fall of the fascist government on August 5, the accused Nasiruddin Patwari has intentionally engaged in various false, fabricated, misleading and defamatory propaganda on social media and the media with the aim of tarnishing the reputation of the BNP, the party leading the movement, and its leaders and socially degrading them.
Earlier, on November 1, NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwari said about Jubo Dal leader Nayan, “A big group is hooliganizing over the July charter, there is a leader in Dhaka metropolis, and Nayan alone has extorted and corrupted the amount of money that a referendum is possible in Bangladesh.” We have tried to cleanse them with Zamzam water for so long, their heads are not clean, their bodies are not clean, now I think they have to be cleansed with Buriganga water.’
Through such statements by Nasiruddin, the image of BNP has been tarnished in the eyes of the society. At the same time, this statement is defamatory, as mentioned in the complaint.
