Muktadesh Desk: A fire broke out in the third building of the iconic Petronas Towers in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. The incident occurred on Saturday morning (November 1) local time. This information was revealed in a report by the Singapore-based media outlet Straits Times.
Director of the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, Hassan As’ari Omar, said that fire engines and firefighters were quickly sent to the scene and work is currently underway to bring the fire under control. It is believed that a fire broke out in a restaurant on the top floor of the building.
Immediately after the incident, photos and videos of the fire and smoke from the building spread on social media, creating a huge sensation.
Authorities said that no casualties have been reported in the incident so far. However, an investigation has been launched to assess the extent of the damage and find out the exact cause of the fire.
