Muktadesh Desk: Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Gazi MH Tamim said that the process of issuing a red notice to Interpol to return the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the then Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to their country after the death sentence was ordered for them in the July genocide has begun.
He told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
He said that the process of sending a copy of the death sentence verdict of Sheikh Hasina-Kamal to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs, IGP Baharul Alam and the witness former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun to the Central Jail has also begun.
Gazi Tamim said that if they want to challenge the tribunal’s verdict, Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Kamal should surrender within 30 days and appeal to the Appellate Division. Otherwise, Interpol will be informed about their death sentence through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
