Muktdesh Desk: Members of the prosecution team have been threatened over the phone from an Indian number. All members of the team, including the chief prosecutor, have been threatened since Sunday night.
Team members told reporters that each of us has been threatened since Sunday night. They have been abused unspeakably.
Prosecutor Tarek Abdullah said that threats have started from unknown phone numbers since yesterday evening. Today too, we have received several calls, most of which have been made using the country code of India. They also threatened that if Sheikh Hasina is punished, no one from our team will be allowed to live.
Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam said, I have received numerous calls. At one point, I turned off the phone. Same language, same words. If the leader is punished, our lives will end.
In response to a question, Tajul Islam said, this is the language of cowards, cowards and mass murderers. There is nothing to take into account.
