Khulna: A fire broke out in the document writer’s office of the Khulna Sadar Sub-Registry Office. Seven plastic chairs in the office were burnt in the incident.
The incident took place late on Wednesday (November 12).
Initially, it is believed that the fire may have started from a mosquito coil or cigarette fire. However, the real cause of the incident is being investigated, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Khulna Sadar Police Station.
Describing the incident, Wahidur Rahman Nannu, security guard of the sub-registry office, said that the document writer’s office caught fire in the fire and burned the chairs and tables. There was a risk of major damage if the fire service did not come and put out the fire quickly.
Abdul Hai, officer-in-charge (OC) of the Investigation Department of Khulna Sadar Police Station, said that nothing can be said except that it is sabotage or an accident. Evidence was collected in the incident at night.

Firoza Begum Sona, former Women’s Affairs Secretary Md. Firoza Begum Sona, Habiganj district BNP member Mohibul Islam Shahin.
The list also includes Md. Ibrahim Howlader, General Secretary of Chanchra Union BNP of Tajumuddin Upazila under Bhola district, Md. Babar Ali Biswas, former member of Chapainawabganj district BNP, Md. Anwarul Islam, former general secretary of Bholahat Thana BNP, Sirajul Islam, convener of Jorarganj Thana Jubo Dal under Chittagong North district, Gazi Nizam Uddin, former member secretary of Mirsarai Upazila BNP, Md. Kamal Uddin, convener of Upazila Jubo Dal, Md. Shahidul Islam Azam, Subarnachar Upazila Jubo Dal President Belal Hossain Sumon under Noakhali District, Subarnachar Upazila BNP member Md. Jamal Uddin Gazi, Nangalkot Upazila BNP former president Md. Mazharul Islam under Comilla South District.
In addition, Baniachong Upazila BNP President Mojibul Hossain Maruf and General Secretary Naqib Fazle Rabbi Makhon were suspended from all levels of the party, including primary membership, for activities that went against the party’s policies and ideals. Their suspension orders have also been withdrawn on the basis of their applications.
