Muktdesh Desk: A protest rally was held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram demanding a ban on ISKCON. The rally, held under the banner of Ahl-e-Hadith Movement Bangladesh after Friday prayers, demanded that the organization be banned immediately to protect religious harmony.
The speakers who participated in the rally said that ISKCON’s activities are a serious threat to the independence, sovereignty and religious harmony of this country. Therefore, all the activities of this extremist organization must be banned immediately after investigation and strict legal action must be taken against those involved in conspiracies against the country.
They alleged that the ISKCON organization is spreading hatred against Islam and Muslims under the guise of religious rituals and ceremonies and is trying to destroy the peace and order of the country. Therefore, the law enforcement agencies and the government of the country should investigate the activities of the organization and immediately ban it. Otherwise, they also warned that peaceful mass movements will be organized in different parts of the country.
At the rally, Ahle Hadith Movement Bangladesh Publication Secretary Professor Muhammad Abdul Latif said, “An organization called ISKCON is trying to create communal division in the country under the guise of religion. Provocative statements and activities against Islam and Muslims will not be tolerated in any way. The government should immediately ban the activities of this organization and take effective steps to protect religious harmony.” Dhaka South Vice President Kazi Harunur Rashid said, “Bangladesh is a secular and peace-loving country. People of all religions live together here. But ISKCON is repeatedly trying to destroy that harmony through provocative behavior. We urge the government to strictly suppress such organizations.”
