Muktdesh Desk: BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that the National Consensus Commission is trying to impose proposals from some parties. The recommendations of the commission will divide the nation, not create unity. BNP is disappointed with the role of the government and the commission.
He said these things at a seminar at the capital’s Hotel Lakeshore on Wednesday morning.
He said that the document signed on October 17 is completely missing from the recommendations regarding the way to implement the July Charter. It was said that a referendum would be held on 48 points. That discussion did not take place with us.
Salahuddin Ahmed said that there were proposals that would be implemented based on consensus. The July Charter that was signed is not there, but the proposals made by the commission and one or two parties are there.
