Muktdesh Desk: BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, if our anti-fascist unity is destroyed for any reason, it will only drag the return of fascism or invite the return of fascism. We should not go that way.
He made this call while attending the 6th founding anniversary program of the People’s Rights Council at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Sunday (October 26) afternoon.

Among all the bloodsheds in the last 16 years, the role of people’s rights is no less. Even now, Noor’s pit and the police’s baton complement each other. Although it was a source of glory during the fascist era, in the fascism-free era, it is not a source of glory but an insult. Today, we are able to talk about establishing democracy and implementing the July Charter on the blood of martyrs. Some parties including NCP did not get the opportunity to sign the charter. They have some demands. Discussions are going on on that issue. This government has been given legitimacy through the Supreme Court order. I think the constitution has been violated in some places. The next government will be given legitimacy through the parliament on those issues. Everything will be resolved through the July Charter through a system. We have to take the success we have achieved further. All those who are against fascism have to be united. This will be our only strength.
He also said, we will all be united on the issue of Bangladesh’s independence, sovereignty, and democracy. And secondly, we will not allow fascism to return to Bangladesh in any way. We have to close all the doors to the return of fascism. Let us be united in that place.
