Muktadesh Desk: DUCSU, JACSU, RAKSU and CHAKSU have demanded national resistance against the anti-national conspiracy of the fascist Awami League and its allies to destabilize the state and the government to take strict action against them. This demand was made in a joint statement sent to the media on Tuesday evening.
The statement issued under the banner of ‘United Students’ Union’ said that the freedom-loving people of Bangladesh, including the students, masses and workers, have liberated the nation from the long and miserable fascist rule of eighteen years through the historic July Revolution. When this new Bangladesh, achieved in exchange for the blood of thousands of martyrs, is moving towards the permanent abolition of fascism and fascist structures, the expelled fascist, genocidal and terrorist organizations Awami League, Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League and the banned Chhatra League along with their allies have indulged in a deep conspiracy against the country and the nation. Starting from the Logi-Baithar riots, the Awami League and its allies had turned the country into a dysfunctional state for a decade and a half by committing disappearances, murders, genocide and partyization of all state institutions.
Ensuring the security of the July Revolution, which was achieved at the cost of the blood of nearly two thousand martyrs, is one of the fundamental responsibilities of the interim government. Although the conspiracy of sabotage, clandestine attacks, arson, cocktail explosions and attacks on various religious places of worship by fascist and terrorist groups across the country is visible, the government and law enforcement agencies are not satisfactory in rooting out the terrorists. In the current situation, the government must adopt a zero tolerance policy against Awami mischief.
The fallen dictatorship and its allies have already started their evil efforts to create anarchy in the country, keeping in mind the legal basis of the July Charter, referendum and national elections. The government must play a more active role in uprooting the Awami terrorists to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property and the stability of the state. The terrorists involved in the July massacre are still roaming freely in different parts of the country. In the interest of maintaining law and order, all these Awami fascists and their accomplices must be arrested immediately and brought under the law.
We demand from the interim government that these traitorous mass murderers must be suppressed with a strong hand immediately. Regular patrols of the law enforcement forces must be strengthened to prevent any kind of unpleasant incident and the nation must be made safe from the hands of terrorists by conducting nationwide combing operations. In addition, visible progress in the trial of the July massacre must be presented to the nation.
At the same time, on behalf of the combined student unions DUCSU, JACSU, RAKSU and CHAKSU, we call on all patriotic citizens of Bangladesh, including students, public, workers and all levels of people, regardless of party affiliation, to build a united and strong mass resistance against the genocidal fascists and terrorists. Wherever the terrorists of this banned organization are found in the country, they must be resisted and handed over to the law enforcement agencies.
