Muktadesh Desk: Director General of the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Inspection Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, has been appointed as the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
The appointment order was issued in a notification signed by Mahbuba Airin, Joint Secretary of the City Corporation-1 Branch of the Ministry of Local Government on Monday (November 3).
The notification said that the appointed Administrator will exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation as per Sub-section (3) of Section 25A of the Local Government (City Corporation) (Amendment) Ordinance 2024.
He will perform this duty in addition to his duties and will be entitled to duty allowance as per the rules.
Earlier, on October 29, the Ministry of Local Government removed the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Md. Shahjahan Mia.
