Muktadesh Desk: Dhaka University (DU) teacher Shehreen Amin Bhuiyan alias Monami has filed a case under the Cyber Security Act against those involved in the incident of editing and distributing her photos on social media Facebook.
She filed the case at Shahbagh Police Station this Monday morning. At that time, Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Common Room and Cafeteria Secretary Umme Salma and Liberation War and Democratic Movement Secretary Fatima Tasnim Jhuma were with her.
Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Khalid Munsur confirmed this information to Ajker newspaper at noon.
He said, ‘Dhaka University teacher Shehreen Amin Bhuiyan alias Monami filed a case under the Cyber Security Act on Monday morning. The case has been filed against several people and unknown persons for distorting and distributing her photos on social media. We have sent it to the DB Cyber Unit. They will take action soon.’
