Muktadesh Desk: The 121st draw of the Bangladesh Prize Bond worth 100 taka will be held tomorrow, Sunday (November 02) at 11 am at the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
This information was recently given in a press release by the Internal Resources Department of the Ministry of Finance.
The release stated that the ‘draw’ of the prize bond is held in the single common draw method. In each series, a total of 46 prizes are given, including 1 prize of 6,00,000 taka, 1 prize of 3,25,000 taka, 2 prizes of 1,00,000 taka, 2 prizes of 50,000 taka and 40 prizes of 10,000 taka.
It is said that the results of the ‘draw’ will be published in the national daily newspaper next Sunday (November 03).
The ‘draw’ of the prize bond is held in the single common draw method. A total of 46 prizes are given in each series, including 1 prize of 6,00,000 taka, 1 prize of 3,25,000 taka, 2 prizes of 1,00,000 taka, 2 prizes of 50,000 taka and 40 prizes of 10,000 taka.
It is learnt that only prize bonds sold 60 days before the scheduled date of the draw (including the date of sale and excluding the day of the draw) are eligible for the respective draw. As per the instructions of Section 118 of the Income Tax Act, 2023, tax is deducted at source at the rate of 20 percent on the prize money received in prize bonds.
The scheduled dates for the draw are 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October every year. If the scheduled day is a public holiday, the draw is held on the next working day.
