Muktadesh Desk: A long march has been announced towards the Press Club to Jamuna on Sunday (November 2) if the gazette for nationalization of Ebtedayi Madrasas is not published by Thursday (October 30) afternoon. The teachers have announced this in their renewed movement to demand their demands, as the nationalization of all independent Ebtedayi Madrasas in the country has not been implemented even after 9 months.
The new announcement was made on the 18th day of the movement on Thursday.
The teachers have resumed their movement after the nationalization of all Ebtedayi Madrasas in stages has not been implemented even after 9 months. They are continuously on a sit-in program in front of the Press Club for the 18th consecutive day today.
Earlier on Wednesday (October 29), sound grenades and water cannons were thrown at the teachers’ movement towards the Secretariat. Even then, the movement became more intense. They warned of going on a hunger strike to death if their demands were not met.
Md. Shamsul Alam, convener of the movement implementation committee, demanded treatment for those injured in the police attack on the protesting teachers and action against the police.
