Muktdesh Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, today an idea is being given that everything happened in the movement of 24. Don’t forget that we got the country because it was 71. We cannot forget my birth, keep this in mind. A group is trying to make us forget 71. But we cannot forget that.
He said this while attending a meeting with freedom fighters and their children at the District Freedom Fighters Complex Building on Monday (November 10) morning.
He also said, today, the people of this country cannot compromise with a well-planned group who, in collusion with the Pakistani occupation forces, killed the country’s freedom fighters. They are trying to swallow the country today.
Fakhrul said, we have to stand up. We have to bring forward the spirit of our liberation war. We have to keep this in mind that we liberated the country by fighting in 71.
Alleging that a party is plotting to postpone the election using religion, Fakhrul said, “Today, a plot is underway to postpone the election. If the election is postponed today, it means our complete destruction. Therefore, I respectfully ask the interim government to announce the election schedule very soon. This is our demand.”
