Muktadesh Desk: Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur said, ‘The overall economic situation of the country is stable. If politics is stable, the economy will continue to run better.’
He said these things at a regional seminar on MFI-bank linkage at the Water Garden Resort hall in Tangail on Saturday (November 8) afternoon.
Regarding the progress in bringing back money laundered from the country to different countries, the governor said, ‘Lawyers have been sent to England from various banks. They are trying to stabilize the claims of various groups of companies. If successful, positive results will come soon.’
Presided over by Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) Executive Vice Chairman Dr. Mohammad Helal Uddin, Sonali Bank Managing Director Shawkat Ali Khan, BRAC Bank Additional Managing Director Syed Abdul Momen, among others, also spoke at the event.
