Muktadesh Desk: Md. Shahjahan Mia has been removed from the post of Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation and Managing Director of Dhaka WASA. He was in charge of these two important institutions at the same time. He was also serving as Additional Secretary of the Local Government Department.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (October 30) said that he has now been transferred as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
The notification said that this order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.
It is worth noting that on February 13 this year, Shahjahan Mia was given the responsibility of Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation in addition to serving as Additional Secretary of the Local Government Department. After that, he was also appointed as Managing Director of Dhaka WASA on May 18.
