Sports Desk: Bangladesh were unstoppable in the series-deciding match against West Indies. The Red and Greens won the ODI series after a year and a half by defeating the Caribbeans by a huge margin of 179 runs in the third and final match.
Chasing a target of 297 runs set by Bangladesh in Mirpur on Thursday (October 23), the Caribbeans were bowled out for 117 runs in 30.1 overs, losing all their wickets.
Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets each with the ball to quickly crush the visitors. Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Tanvir Islam also took 2 wickets each. Pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who was in the XI, did not bowl any overs today.
The heroes who gave Bangladesh the capital of victory with the bat were Soumya Sarkar and Saif Hasan. Soumya played an innings of 91 and Saif played an innings of 80 runs.
